View, real name Juuso Ruohonen, is a 24-year-old Finnish rap-artist whose hypnotic and mystical sound in addition to his charismatic voice has been noticed by the media in Finland and abroad. With his producer, Joonas Laaksoharju, View released his first EP, Avalon, in October 2015. The EP gained great features in the Finnish media and View was also picked 2nd in the “Future Dozen 2016” poll operated by big Finnish music medias Rumba and YleX. Abroad View has been featured e.g. on The Line of Best Fit, The 405 and KXP to name few.
In late 2016 View signed record deals with Sony Music Finland and Cargo Records Germany, who will release the upcoming debut album in spring 2017. Cargo Records will cover the release in German-speaking Europe and Benelux countries, while Sony Music Finland will release the album in Nordic countries and in the Baltic region. Along the record deals, View also signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV.
Live View extends to a four-piece group including live percussion, synths and multiple SPD’s. Their concert highlights include The Great Escape (UK), Spot Festival (DK) and Reeperbah Festival (DE). In Finland View has performed on almost every big summer festival such as Flow, Ruisrock, Blockfest, Ilosaarirock and Provinssi.

Hundertausend Klicks hat Wal de Mars erfolgreichster Song auf Soundcloud. Ohne Label, ohne wichtige Freundesfreunde, ohne Vitamin B. Seit Stoner Girl hat Wal de Mar zwei Mixtapes, einige Remixe, sowie das ein oder andere Video veröffentlicht. Einige Auftritte hat er auch schon hinter sich. Einfach Hits, einfach gute Musik, das ist auch weiterhin der Plan. Dass das manchmal etwas dauert, bis das auch andere erkennen, ist klar. Das stört Wal de Mar aber nicht wirklich. Inzwischen kann er Features mit unter anderem Juicy Gay und Fruchtmax vorweisen. Ohne Label, ohne wichtige Freundesfreunde, ohne Vitamin B.
Amanda heißt sein neues Tape. Es ist innerhalb von zwei Monaten in Wal de Mars 10 m² Zimmer entstanden. Es ist ein sonniges Mixtape, das nicht in Sommerklischees schwelgt. Mit melancholischen Tönen ohne trübsinnig zu sein. Ein Blick aus dem Fenster auf einen schon fast vergangenen Sommer.
