“Hailing from Portland Maine, The Coloradas probably aren’t sitting on their front porch picking and singing their version of rural mountain music in January but that’s what I see when I put on their disc and close my eyes.”

“The Coloradas are the kind of band I started ninebullets for. A relatively unknown band that reaches out, excites the **** out of me, and suddenly I need an outlet to tell other people about what I’m hearing..this album is Essential Listening. Trust me.”
–Ninebullets
“The music is laid-back yet not too mellow and a little rough at times. The vocals are campfire-hewn. Nobody is trying to sing like Bill Monroe here. The best description of the music is it’s about using bluegrass instruments to bring original story and travel songs to life, performed loosely with hour-before-sunrise aplomb.”
–Bluegrass Unlimited
“…songs about bastards and genuinely bad people, songs often full of self-loathing and doing bad things, that are almost impossible not to like”
–Portland Phoenix
“if you ask the question ‘what is good about THE COLORADAS?’ there is a very easy answer: just listen well and it will make the world better.”

My House in Spain (Wien)
