BÖ.SENBERG
BÖ.SENBERG (formerly known as César Palace) is the solo project of the drummer Vincent Redel, currently also involved in the quadriphonic band „La Colonie de Vacances „.
This music has its roots in techno, ambient and experimental music, where body and mind are mutually connected in a common, physical energy. The result is a tachycardic, percussive disciplined performance inviting people to dance with nothing but a drum kit and effects pedals.
HALA-DUETT
Håla Duett (pronounced „hhola duet“) is a duet composed of drummer Yann Joussein (co-founder of the Coax Collective in Paris) and guitarist Sheik Anorak (founder of Gaffer Records in Lyon). The two musicians combined their efforts to explore the minimal and repetitive aspects of krautrock and the traditional rhythms of African music, for a dreamlike and mesmerizing result. Between Tuareg blues and repetitive rock, this unique encounter takes us into a no-man’s land between Dusseldörf and Ouagadougou, inspired as much by repetitive minimalist music as by traditional African singing dances. Humbled in Hausa (West African language), Håla Duett’s compositions talk about simple but constitutive subjects such as music as a unifying element, or equality between men and women. Composed between Sweden (Göteborg) and France (Paris), EP „Rana“ was recorded in Gnesta in the east of Stockholm during the Scandinavian tour of 2018.
„Håla Duett is an interesting duo consisting of drummer Yann Joussein (living in Paris, France and involved with COAX Collective and numerous band including Snap!, DDJ…) and guitarist Sheik Anorak (living in Göteborg, Sweden and running Gaffer Records and playing with Neige Morte, -1, Videoiid, etc. The music the duo plays is actually a mix or sum of both musicians influences…and the spectrum can be quite broad. But here those two talented musicians chose to explore the fields of the minimal and repetitive sides of both kraut and african music…and kinda mix them. The results is a unique mix of 2 genres that were not supposed to meet…“
beauchamp*geissler
beauchamp*geissler’s music doesn’t abide by the rules of musical genres: they juggle multilingual texts, shift between composed and improvised music, intersperse songs and soundscapes. Their distinctive sound makes them unique. Based in Vienna, the duo consists of Marta Beauchamp (IT/UK, cello, e-bass, vocals, electronics, midinoid) and Stefan Geissler (AT, harmonicas, vocals, keyboards, electronics). So far they have released 0_00_0__0 (album, 2023) and 0__0_0 (EP, 2024) on Goldgelb Records and dato marginale (EP, 2024) on sama recordings; they have toured throughout Europe, appearing at festivals such as Ars Electronica Linz, lab30 Augsburg, WIP Nicosia, Kultursommer Wien.
