STAGNAT
Stagnat is an electronic A/V project of two Slovenian artists, based in Vienna. Their outburst is a result of a strive for a joint musical expression and a branching of past visually-centered artistic endeavors. The result is experimental in nature — techno with a darker shade, the ruckus of a passing train, chaotic bird singing, a path into a grey morning with resentful teenage angst.
Their first gig was an improvised live act at Festival Izvir (Formaviva) in the summer of 2019. Since then, their sets have evolved into more homogeneous autoschediasm as they developed their distinctive sound.

In 2020, they self-released their first EP Synchrony of Falling and were featured on the compilation of the local label Sigma5.

Their debut album, together with an experimental film, was released in March 2021 on the London-based label Singularity Recordings.

In December 2021, they co-founded their own label DE/FRAGMENT.

Since then, they released two EPs (Subterranean Occurrence, Twilight World), a full album (Vague Radius), and appeared on several compilations and radio shows.

Last year, they released a new EP Charisma and just finished their new album Chemical Gardens.
They have presented their music alongside established artists such as Voidloss, SHXCXCHCXSH, Unn, Lag, Roomek, Sharad Shood, Key Ratio, Vlaysin, Paula Koski, at events like Temnica and Tektonika in Klub K4, Rentgen in Kino Šiška, Drops Festival, and Progress Festival, among others.

Isolation is a song born out of the chaos and disorientation of a time in which global crises and genocides collide with an individualistic world — a world where we observe them in solitude on our screens. A world in which othering is so deeply ingrained that we become alienated not only from each other, but from ourselves, drawing artificial lines between what is inside and what is outside.
Everything feels upside down. Voices stay silent — and if they don’t, they are silenced.
The song is a reminder of our responsibility to conspire with one another. Borders are illusions. No one is coming to save us.
Biografie:
GLAM has been working on the interface between pop music and new music since the EP two months / years (2021) and explores intuition as a musical tool. With The Color, The Dark, the work dives even deeper under the skin.
The debut album was realised together with bandmates Markus W. Schneider and Aras Levni Seyhan, who come from the experimental and electro-acoustic music scene and have shared the stage with Amesbauer since 2021.
The Color, The Dark is a brilliant, diverse work of art that dropped in May 2023 on teacup records.
GRAN BANKROTT
Gran Bankrott writes post-punk/new wave anthems for a generation of precarious people.
A skillful mix of groovy, driving post-punk à la Gang of Four, grand poses toward mid-level Wire, enriched with synth-driven excursions into darker new wave realms — and finally rounded off with a fine touch for dub, pop, and funk refinements.

A multiverse of a multimedia Viennese scene.
In the apocalyptic period from 2020 to 2022, Gran Bankrott released six short music films that locate him and his alter egos in Vienna — kidnapping them, singing, dancing, and torturing them.
Die Singles was presented as a concept album, exhibition, and screening in fall 2023.
