Line-up:
-
Josef Lindsay – vocals and sharp guitar work
-
Stefan Parker-Steele – pulsating basslines
-
Martha Daniels – explosive drums
Early Days & Live Shows
The band’s journey began in grassroots venues across the city, in particular The Windmill, Brixton, where their high-energy performances and unique sound helped them build a loyal following.
Relentless gigging soon paid off: sold-out shows at iconic spots such as The Lexington and the 100 Club followed. With huge momentum after their biggest London headliner yet at a sold-out Oslo, Hackney (May 2025) and four acclaimed sets at The Great Escape, the band are primed for a busy summer with appearances at Glastonbury Festival as well as festivals in France and Germany.
Releases & Collaborations
On 9th May 2025, they released their second EP Forbidden Fruit, just after a headline tour around Germany and the Netherlands, plus support slots with Lambrini Girls and Big Special.
They have also shared stages with renowned acts including English Teacher, Fat Dog, The Libertines and Warmduscher.
Sound & Style
Alien Chicks’ music is a testament to their diverse influences and fearless approach to genre. Whether delivering rapid-fire rap verses, intricate jazz-inspired bass riffs, or thunderous punk rhythms, Alien Chicks continue to push boundaries and defy expectations.
Reception & Media
Praise has come from The Independent, NME, DIY, Dork, Clash, CMU and Rough Trade, alongside strong support across the airwaves at BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders, Arielle Free, Amy Lamé), BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson) and Radio X (John Kennedy).
What’s Next
In October 2025, Alien Chicks will head out on their biggest headline tour to date, spending nearly a month across the UK and Europe.
