Waves Vienna 2025 - Opening
Volkstheater Arthur-Schnitzler-Platz 1, 1070 Wien
On 1 October, we will open the 15th Waves Vienna with a very special Opening Night at the magnificent Volkstheater in Vienna.
Of course, we’ve come up with something special for the anniversary: The evening will be hosted by none other than OSKA – and she’s not only bringing her new album Refined Believer (released on 20 June) with her, but also a number of great guests with whom she’ll be co-creating the evening’s programme.
The line-up includes Christina Stürmer, Josh., Teya, Yasmo, Hearts Hearts, Farce, Oskar Haag, Hans Platzgumer and OSKA!
And best of all: the net proceeds from the evening will go directly towards a new residency programme in the UK, which will take place in spring 2026. The call for applications for this programme will start immediately after the festival and is aimed at Austrian acts.
Following the show, the first outcomes of the new Waves Vienna Residency Lab, which will take place from 29 September to 1 October, will be presented in the Rote Bar of the Volkstheater. Afterwards, before and during the show there will be DJs and drinks.
