Timber Rattle has roots in Seattle in 2009, when Adam Parks and Brian Markham met while contributing to an ‘A Story of Rats‘ LP. Both shared an interest in place-inspired music and sound experiments, and a common background, being born in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and raised singing Baptist hymns. Parks and Puryear were joined by Jonny Tunnell for Timber Rattle’s tours in Europe in 2014 and ’15. Timber Rattle will return again to support their first vinyl LP release, ‚The Clearing‘ (on Prague-based Lokal Rekorc), a synth-heavy collection of downer pastoral psych recorded in the woods of upstate New York.
‚Eric Arn is by no means a newcomer to the experimental rock scene. Since the mid ‘80s, he has been involved in a handful of avant-rock outfits… all involved a healthy dose of tonal ambiguity and textural experimentation, with just a pinch of classic psychedelia.
