Lust For Youth Live@LOT: Lust For Youth + Rosa Vertov + Guilt Trip

Lust for youth
Lust For Youth is a Danish-Swedish electronic duo formed by Hannes Norrvide and later joined by Malthe Fischer, based in Copenhagen. Initially a solo project by Norrvide in the early 2010s, Lust For Youth began with raw, lo-fi production, which Pitchfork described as “scrappy cold wave production that is both intelligent and infectious.” Early releases like Solar Flare, Growing Seeds, and the 2013 single Chasing The Light showcased this cold, minimalist aesthetic, where melodic elements emerged amidst layers of tape hiss and noise.
In the early fall of 2013, the project expanded as Fischer joined, steering Lust For Youth toward a more melodic, synth-driven sound. This shift defined their 2014 album, International, along with tracks like ”Armida”, ”Sister (Club Mix)”, “Running,” and “New Boys”, which introduced a brighter, more polished soundscape. That same year, Loke Rahbek briefly joined, creating a trio that produced International (2014) and Compassion (2016).
Praised for its stadium-sized, emotionally charged melodies, Compassion marked a new level of sonic sophistication for the group. After Rahbek’s departure, Norrvide and Fischer continued as a duo, infusing their music with influences ranging from shoegaze to , crafting an immersive and nostalgic experience.
Their self-titled album, Lust For Youth (2019), was celebrated as “bold and bright,” solidifying their place in modern synth-pop, though recent releases indicate a move beyond that label. In 2022 and 2023, the duo released the singles Accidental Win and Giorgia, continuing their moody, atmospheric approach.
Same year, Lust For Youth’s took the tage at the Sydney Opera House, and in the fall, they were invited by the Swedish embassy to perform in Mexico City as part of the Sounds of Sweden exhibition, which also included a special concert.
Blue Suzuki (2023), a 6-minute ambient track released under the Posh Isolation label, took their sound in an unexpected direction, leaning into atmospheric, slower-paced textures that reflect an evolving creative direction.
Lust For Youth’s upcoming collaborative album with Croatian Amor, All Worlds, set for release on Sacred Bones Records on March 7, 2025, explores themes of belonging and connection. Drawing inspiration from the Golden Record sent into space, All Worlds brings together diverse influences,

ROSA VERTOV (PL)
Distorted guitars drenched in reverb, resonant, vibrating bass, trance-like drums with a distinctive floor tom presence, haunting organ, and ethereal voices. Dissonant, restless compositions soaked in melancholy that transport listeners to a dreamlike, surreal world.
Warsaw-based Rosa Vertov have been performing since 2015, and over time, their original material has evolved into an increasingly unsettling form through live shows and releases. While they might appear as a fairly classic instrumental ensemble, their compositions are fragmented by an innovative approach to structure, dynamics, and pace. Their music is a special, personal invitation to step into their own self-contained, dreamlike non-reality.
The band is deeply interested in interdisciplinary performances; they explore their formula through improvisation, composition, and performances to silent films or space screenings at planetariums. Rosa Vertov seeks out exceptional venues, believing in the performative nature of acts in specific spaces. They’ve already performed in art galleries, local Chinese restaurants, and even Prague’s Trojan Horse.
GUILT TRIP (AT)
Guilt Trip began in 2024 as a studio project by Christian Lach in Graz. While the background sounds of keyboards being eagerly tapped and knobs being tweaked, Guilt Trip’s full live lineup (Kathrin Weidum, Alexander Bachmann, Thomas Grassegger, Bernhard Jammerbund) offers a taste of what will be released in the foreseeable future on their eclectic debut album.
Guilt Trip freely draws on a blend of diverse genres and sounds, putting everything through the meat grinder of amateurism to present an independent and danceable soundscape that sits somewhere between slacker pop and synthwave.
