Paper Beat Scissors

Tim Crabtree’s haunting voice lies at the centre of Paper Beat Scissors´ sound, with an honesty and rawness that skirts discomfort and has caught the attention of audiences across the world.
The new album is graced with the finest hands and voices the Canadian music community has to offer.Michael Feuerstack (Snailhouse, Bell Orchestre) acts as musical accomplice and co-producer, while Arcade Fire´s Jeremy Gara mixed the album in his kitchen.Pietro Amato (the Luyas) appears alongside Tanya Davis, Rose Cousins and Sebastian Chow (formerly of Islands).Forward Music Group was so sold by the proposition that the label agreed to release the album before a note was recorded.
Following its release the album has generated a tremendous buzz in Canada and internationally. 2012 has seen European and Canadian tours, a tag of “must see” act of the summer from the CBC, festival headline slots, an opening gig for Mark Kozelek (Sun Kil Moon, Red House Painters) and onstage collaborations with members of the National, Clogs and My Brightest Diamond.
