Live: The Last Modernist
Acoustic, weird, melancholic, raw: The Last Modernist is a Vienna based group with roots in the United Kingdom, Bosnia, France and Austria. Formed in 2011 on the gloomy edge of Vienna´s 5th district they combine melancholic sounds with a punk mentality. Acoustic instruments – guitar, bass, violin, piano and drums – replace electric ones and are laid bare. On its own every instrument produces minimal, sometimes even weird results – combined they form insistent melodies which will get stuck in your head.
