Benannt nach einem dänischen Märchen, das sich in schauderhafte Abgründe begibt und doch zu einem guten Ende kommt, suchen Esben And The Witch in ihren Songs die Schönheit im Schrecklichen. Theatralik, melancholische Songs, verhallter Gitarrensound. Diese Klangkulissen passen zu Märchen, aber sie überzeugen auch in der echten Welt. Wir freuen uns auf die Rückkehr des englischen Trios!

VAN MANAKIN
Van Manakin is a Vienna-based instrumental combo established in 2020.
The two of us are making music together for nearly a decade, jamming the last few years on a regular basis and expressing all the emotional ups and downs of our daily lives. One might say, we release our inner jungle by creating wild and energetic soundscapes in our natural habitats – the rehearsal room and the stage. The outcome is a quite positive, cathartic and experimental mixture of post rock, stoner rock, progressive rock, slight kisses of metal and slaps of funk. The name of this project is inspired by a panamanian bird of paradise named lance-tailed manakin as well as his surroundings – the wildlife of the jungle. Why the manakin? Because he has lasting friendships, makes creative sounds, got grooves and some mezmerizing moves!
