„Pelican Fly“ is not only the state of totally losing yourself – It is also one of our favourite labels and home to fellas like Cashmere Cat or Sinjin Hawke. We invited head honcho Dj Slow & beat-prodigy Nadus over to play us some bangers. Better watch our for his forthcoming ‚Broke City EP‘. Hes is taking Jersey Club music to a new level! Supported by Jeru & the Sexy Deutsch crew.

>NADUS

Although his unique sound sees no boundaries, New Jersey’s Nadus truly excels at creating and producing fast-paced Juke, hard-hitting hip-hop, and energetic Jersey Club under the umbrella of East Coast Club music.

Nadus has come a long way since Dirty South Joe, Tim Dolla, Mike V, and the Brick Bandits family put him on the map when he was only fifteen years old. Now at twenty years old, Nadus’ signature sound and masterful performances behind the decks have taken him as far as Sydney, Australia. His original productions and remixes have been released on labels like Ninjatune, Palms Out Sounds, Ghettophiles, and Kingdom’s Fade To Mind Imprint. He has produced music for the Seattle rapper, Eighty4Fly and is the official DJ and producer for the rap group, NJ Rebels. Nadus is also the co-founder of the “Thread” party with Exrahk, DJ Reck, and Elete of St. Joe Louis.

Ever since he’s been on the scene, Nadus has racked up a mile-long list of supporters amongst his peers of DJs and producers, including his mentor DJ Steel, Dave Nada, David Heartbreak, Munchi, DJ Sega, Nick Hook, Cobra Krames, DirtyFingers, DJ Ayres, DJ Tameil, WCKids, Luny P, Sinden, and Diplo, who even wrote a college recommendation for him.

>DJ SLOW

If DJ Slow was a barbecue, he’d be pulled pork. If he was an over-the-counter medicine, he’d be cough syrup. Behind every great crew lies a head honcho, a shot caller and for Belgium’s Pelican Fly label it’s DJ Slow who’s playing the role of figure head, CEO of the groundbreaking label. Acting as the label’s A&R and head DJ, making sure the fountain of vibes is well maintained. All of this would be nothing however if DJ Slow wasn’t an expertly skilled selector and digger. Voted two years in row as DJ #1 for the DJ MAG TOP 100 by Brodinski (even if he wasn’t in the list). He manages to find a tasteful balance of North American Urban Club music with European sophistication. For example, blending the far reaching sounds of ATL rap with Jersey club into House Music into sleazy Techno and the rawness of UK Grime into a perfect cohesive structure.
