mekongg started out as a solo lo-fi noise/acoustic project by Pete Prison IV in early 2013 (former mekongg delta). The project was about to retire only after a few gigs, but in fall 2014 a mysterious coincidence led to an encounter of Pete Prison and Mack The Knife and shortly after Ben Jammin rounded up the gang. The rebirth of mekongg!
Since then the viennese trio has been creating dEEP $HiT: bleak & noisy guitar tunes, smashing basslines, demanding grooves, fragile vocals – something between graveyard and disco.
If you really have to put a label onto mekongg’s sound, just call it: post-surfkraut-rock-noise-stoner-doom-jazz!

ABOUT C.R.E.M.E.
WELCOME TO THE VERY 1st C.R.E.M.E. NITE AT FLUC!
But wait a second – what the hell is C.R.E.M.E.?!
C.R.E.M.E. stands for CAN’T REPTILES EAT MY ECZEMA? and was initiated to support people who suffer from severe chronical skin diseases. Being aware that health insurance is exclusive, it mainly covers immune suppressing methods such as steroids, antibiotics, antihistamines, antiviral drugs and others. The medical industry is driven by capitalistic structure – which is forced to bring people back to function as quick as possible. In practice, doctors perform fast routine check-ups, prescribing standard medications instead of looking at the individual case. Wrong treatments bring relapses and this could be prevented by more thorough check-ups, if doctors had more time and resources to locate the cause.
Other treatments cost a lot of money and have to be paid out of one’s own pocket. Therefor we need your support! All earnings from the C.R.E.M.E. NITE will be used for a medical treatment that aims healing and not suppressing symptoms!
