Bei seinem ersten Wien- und Österreich-Gastspiel überhaupt wird der 24 jährige Troy Beetles aka DATSIK zeigen, warum er es in nur 4 Jahren vom Bedroom Hip Hop Producer aus der kanadischen Provinz Kelowna, BC, zum grössten internationalen Dubstep Superstar neben Skrillex geschafft hat.
Er startete seine Karierre 2008, nachdem er Rottun Label Mate EXCISION performen sah und hatte 2009 schon 7 Nummer Eins Veröffentlichungen auf Beatport. Sein im April 2012 auf Steve Aoki’s Elektro/House Hipster label Dim Mak erschienenes Album “Vitamin D” und seine prominente Remix Liste (u.a. Wu-Tang Clan, Coldplay, Diplo, MGMT, Kaskade & Skrillex, The Crystal Method & LMFAO, DJ Fresh & Dizzee Rascal, Foreign Beggars & Black Sun Empire, Noisia, Spor und Freestylers) machen ihn 2012 zum “Next Big Thing” der globalen Elektro/House/Dubstep Szene.
Gemainsam mit den Bounce! Residents Plak, Paranoize, Mr. Krueger, Menace, D-Stream und Bombaman MC wird er das Wiener Fluc zum Ausrasten bringen und den Beweis antreten, dass Dubstep/Brostep, House und Electro 2012 so verschieden nicht sind:
“It was really cool seeing dubstep kids mosh out to house, and all the house kids going crazy to dubstep.” he says. “I feel like even six months to a year ago, it still felt very confined. If you went to a dubstep show, you’d hear nothing but dubstep, maybe and little drum and bass. Now, if someone comes to see me, they can expect to hear all different genres… You don’t want to hear the same tempo all night. That’s like eating one type of food all day. That’s no fun… unless it’s bacon.”
