With ‚Broken Heel Island‘, Ana Threat of Viennese garage punk duo The Happy Kids presents her vinyl debut as solo performer, producer and recording engineer. The island Ms. Threat is on is haunted: This six song EP combines repetitive, hypnotic surf guitar riffs, spooky ballroom beats (mambo, cha cha, beguine), full-reverb novelty bells, chains & choruses with a decidedly snotty caveperson attitude reminiscent of at least six decades of from-basement-to-school-dance teen punk combos.
