MADE FOR CHICKENS BY ROBOTS came into the world towards thebeginning of the one-man-band onslaught that has gone rabid overthe past few years….. obviously inspired to try a four limb discoby father Bob Log 111, he began with a show in an enormous Spanishnightclub sometime in 2005. Through 2006 he worked on co-ordinatinghis thing, his legs and arms and teeth and suitcase, sitting in hiscaravan in the backyard sticks of Asstrailer. During the peakbirthing stage of the myspace economy, MFCBR found similar lonelyidiots all over the world. IN 2007 he organised and promoted hisfirst international tour, all across Europe, with THE MYSTERIOUSTAPE MAN (NZ) and JUNIOR DISORDER (Germany) with the release of hisdebut album “momo hokey”on Stink Magnetic Records. The album wasregarded “the work of a backyard blues maverick” by Australiannational ABC radio. As the international one-man-band world widenedand deepened and grew through 2008 MFCBR self-released a few rareEPs (In The Beercan, The Wrong Brain & Piece Of Thing) and wasincluded on a slew of European compilations. He met THE DAD HORSEEXPERIENCE (Germany) via an internet dating site and together theyschemed up THE B.O.M.B. FESTIVAL (Bremen One Man Band Festival) setfor it´s inaugural debut April 2008 which included appearances byDEAD ELVIS, BECKY LEE, TWO TEARS, and MR OCCHIO. So off the ragtimeretard went back to Europe for a major tour, the release of GotShine 7” on Shit In Can Records (fr) and On The Trash Truck 7” onGut Feeling (de), he played Germany, Holland, Belgium, Spain,France, Switzerland and Portugal and confused every living personwho saw the show. Most of them danced and drank. He sometimes wearsa terry-towelling chicken wig piece. Since then MFCBR has beenincluded on various SQUOODGE RECORDS releases: “M Is The Only OneMan Band” and “World Wide One Man Band” compilation- as Australia´sleading one-man-band fool.
MADE FOR CHICKENS BY ROBOTS differs to a lot of four-on-the-floorrock n roll one-man-bands… he doesn´t wear a wrestling mask and hedoesn´t play AS LOUD AS HELL. He plays finger picking rubbernecking guitar that´s outta-tune and hits a suitcase (amplified bya pair of headphones) with his foot. He tries to summon the ghostsof Blind Boy Fullershit, Rubber Jumpsuit, and Blind Baked. And heonly heard of Hasil Adkins in 2010 when he saw a video of himthrowing a piano from the roof of a car…. In his spare time helistens to Cypress Hill and Napalm Death and stirs a pot of chickenrice.
In 2009 MFCBR toured Australia and New Zealand and then decided tohang up the chicken hat and cheap suitcase for a spell, walk backto the caravan and domesticate kangaroos for the internationalmarket. After a few financially lucrative years at this he decidedto dust off his 4-track cassette machine and old plasticmicrophones, yank out his brown guitar (rumoured to be the originalguitar of Robert Johnston) out of the ceiling and start recordingagain…
