Though CASSIE RAMONE is best known for her work as the singer, guitarist and songwriter for Vivian Girls, as well as lead guitarist and co-songwriter for The Babies, Cassie Ramone´s solo work reflects a different side of the esteemed Brooklyn musician. Looking to escape the squalling amplified guitars and distortion of her established bands, Ramone has created a set of hushed dirges, haunting melodies and eerie hymns that add up to a revealing portrait of an artist unafraid of change. Stripped down to the core elements of an acoustic guitar and her signature emotive voice, Ramone´s songs offer a sweetly melancholic vision that immediately makes the listener feel like an intimate confidante.And despite a lyrical emphasis on love lost, existential dread and cultural alienation, they never fail to leave room for the possibility of redemption and even joy.
Xray Eyeballs began as the brainchild of guitarist O.J. San Felipe and bassist Carly Rabalais, who, while playing in Brooklyn garage-rock juggernaut Golden Triangle (Hardly Art, Mexican Summer), sought a release that would sate both their sweet-toothed desires and their darker impulses, like a candy-coated Vicodin. The resulting sound features the distinctive vocal lines of San Felipe accentuated by the lilting voice of Rabalais amidst a miasmic musical whirl where guitars pulsate with turgid sexuality, bass-lines throb with Factory-style control, and the eerie synthesizer atmospherics of Rop Vasquez (Necking, The Pee-Chees) float around like impossibly cool ghosts you only dream of meeting.
The debut record, Not Nothing (Kanine Records), leads listeners on a skuzzy, love-buzzy trip, a mood-altering experience akin to those offered by The Jesus and Mary Chain and Velvet Underground. Like those musical antecedents, Xray Eyeballs proposes deliverance from the day-to-day by creating a world of their own. Low-lifes, night-walkers, pill-riders, and other sordid characters populate the band´s world and their songs entice the listener to follow them around until the early morning light.
OJ soon embarks on a solo tour with Cassie Ramone (Vivian Girls/ The Babies) with a split single coming soon- DJ’ing and playing solo shows across Europe

K.U.N.T.Z plays COUNTRY! K.U.N.T.Z. started in 2006 as a psychedelic improvisation band when two musicians from Austria got together. in 2012 they managed to finish the song-cycle ?Animals?, where their work developed into a more conceptual form. In 2013 they ended up as a fucked up bunch of lovely people who successfully try to put back the bird dirt into country and psychedelica!
