Disco Tales with Raresh

Raresh is definitely one of the fundamental figures of the cutting edge electronic movement. Born in Bacau, the clubbing scene enchanted him at the age of 15, when he started playing in a small club in town. He chose to spend his time behind the decks, as opposed to on the soccer field like so many of his peers. Moving to Bucharest and joining the Sunrise agency got him gigs at Sunrise’s events at the seaside, and offered him the opportunity to share the decks with the likes of Richie Hawtin, Magda, Steve Bug, Ricardo Villalobos…

In 2007, alongside Rhadoo and Petre Inspirescu, he launched the [a:rpia:r] label, whose activity brought each one of them into their own global limelight. With constant gigs all over the world, a strong label, forward thinking releases, two accomplices to ratify the ping pong – back to back to back – Raresh proved, no doubt, what a complete DJ means and now enjoys all the support and admiration of the electronic music scene lovers.
