Saxophonist Martin Löcken was born in Hamburg in 2000. At the age of six, he received his first classical music lessons on the violin, but later became more interested in the saxophone and switched instruments at the age of eleven. During his school years, he participated several times in the “Jugend jazzt” competition with both small and large ensembles and was awarded multiple soloist prizes. During his final year of school, he began studying as a junior student at the University of Music and Theatre Hamburg, where he later completed his bachelor’s degree.

As part of the Erasmus program, he lived in Vienna for a year and also completed part of his bachelor’s studies there. From 2023 to 2025, Martin was a DAAD scholarship holder and a member of the graduate program at the City College of New York, where he studied with Rich Perry, Steve Wilson, Michael Holober, and Ray Gallon. During his studies at City College, he received a DownBeat Magazine Award for “Graduate College Outstanding Performance” with the graduate ensemble.

After graduating from City College, he moved to Berlin to work in the jazz scene.

Pianist David Weissglas, born in Stockholm in 2003, is a piano player based in Berlin. Studying music his whole life, starting with classical singing and classical piano, he started playing jazz when he began his studies at “Södra Latins gymnasium” in 2019.

In 2022 he won the category “Best Soloist” at the Blue House Youth Jazz Festival, with the motivation:

“For his expressive, warm, and mature playing across the entire range of the instrument.”

The same year, he started at the renowned “Skurups Folkhögskola”, where he studied for two years. His teachers there included Fredrik Kronkvist and Torben Waldorff.

At the same time as his studies, David has played professionally as a sideman and with his own projects in jazz clubs all over Scandinavia and shared the stage with some of the hardest-working names in the European jazz scene, including Jonas Kullhammar, Jesper Bodilsen, and Phil Donkin.

In 2024, he moved to Berlin to start his bachelor’s degree at the Jazz Institut Berlin, where he is currently studying and plays regularly around the city, while also remaining active in the Scandinavian scene.

Steven Moser (born 2001 in Feldkirch, Vorarlberg) is an Austrian jazz drummer. After studying classical percussion at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory, he began studying at the Jazz Institute Berlin. He has since become an integral part of the jazz scene there and has worked with, among others, Loren Stillman, Uli Kempendorff, Phil Donkin, Bastian Stein, Makar Novikov, Jonas Westergaard, Simon Jermyn, Jeremy Viner, Marko Churnchetz, and Michael Attias.

In 2026, Moser released an EP with the trio “Alm” on the label Boomslang Records.

Tjan Šoštarič (born 2001 in Murska Sobota, Slovenia) is a Slovenian multi-instrumentalist, bassist, and composer. After finishing his Double Bass – Jazz BA in 2025 at the MUK in Vienna, he is now starting his master’s studies there in October 2026.

He has since become one of the most promising young bassists and musicians of his generation. He has worked with the likes of Renato Chicco, Jure Pukl, Marko Churnchetz, Alex Sipiagin, and Phillip Dizack, among many others.

Tjan is featured as a sideman on the album „First Harvest“ by the Vienna Composers Big Band, „Minor Flaw“ by Maj Kavšek, and many more. He is also going on tour in June 2026 with his own project „GOOD REMARKS“.
