Kalipo ist einer der umtriebigsten und vielschichtigsten Musikproduzenten Berlins.

Wenn er nicht gerade mit seiner legendären Electro-Punk-Band Frittenbude unterwegs ist oder für andere Projekte – wie etwa die neue Dark-Disco-Queen Dina Summer – Musik produziert, steht sein Soloprojekt Kalipo für:

HOLLY NORTH

Holly North, a Baltic coast native from a musical family, began his journey with the cello at age seven, later adding piano and electric bass. Growing up in Eastern Germany, he developed a strong political and social awareness.

After a period in New York, Holly delved into the electronic music scene, gaining recognition with releases like his 2021 single Youth, which achieved almost 2 million Spotify streams.

Holly’s inter-genre pursuits include documentary and short film productions and scoring — and on stage, he performs live with a multitude of instruments, including his cello, aiming to constantly transcend rules and reflect his passion and enthusiasm for the exploration of sound. He is currently working on integrating a drummer into his live shows while bridging the gap between neo-classical and electronic approaches to music.

Now with Christian Löffler’s Ki Records, Holly merges acoustic and electronic sounds, creating dynamic, nostalgic tracks. A versatile live performer, he has toured extensively across Europe, including with Löffler in 2024. You can see him performing his melodically driven live set at clubs and festivals around Europe, with several exciting releases, collaborations, and remixes in the works for 2025.
