Guten Morgen am Sonntag! Für die heutigen Musicnews hat es sich gelohnt aufzustehen: Donots bringen einen Ohrwurm, Kasabian beklagt sich über das aussterben echter Rockstars und Trentemøller versüßen uns den Tag mit Albumnews!

Nach eineinhalb Jahren Funkstille ist nun endlich das Video zur neuen Single „Calling“ da. Ab dem 12 März könnt Ihr den Track käuflich erwerben und ab dem 26. März gibt’s dann auch das komplette Album „The Long Way Home“ im Handel.

 

‚Dieser Song ist der wohl kompakteste, direkteste auf ‚The Long Way Home‘ und beinhaltet alles, was ich an den 80ern geliebt habe: Wave, Melancholie, Rastlosigkeit und ein Thema, welches geradezu nach Synthieverstärkung geschrien hat. Für Menschen mit Einsamkeits-Drive unter der Motorhaube‘, so Ingo Donot.

Kasabian – The Internet has killed Rockstars

 

Der Sänger Tom Meighan ist der Meinung, dass es keine echten Rockikonen mehr gibt, da Künstler viel zu viel über sich Preis geben. Das tägliche bloggen der Stars auf Twitter und co. nimmt ihnen ihren Mythos:
‚It’s not like what it used to be like in rock ’n‘ roll. In the 60s and 70s you had the likes of David Bowie and Marc Bolan, and then in the 80s you even had shit acts that were rock stars. Then in the 90s you had the Britpop revival. I think – especially in the last three or four years – the internet’s taken a stranglehold and killed off the myth of the rock star now. You know when you used to buy the records and there was the myth behind them? There’s too much on blogs now and I think it’s killed it off. Nobody’s surprised by an interview anymore or anything. It’s quite tragic‘.

Trentemøller  – Neues Album im Mai
