War Grunge Ende der 1980er der ungewaschene, depressive kleine Bruder des Stadion-Rock der Seventies, so erschien Noise-Rock als sein Zwitter-Zwilling als aktionistische Fortführung psychedelischer Prä-Punk-Rabauken wie den Stooges, Stones, Electric Prunes und 13th Floor Elevators. The Austin-based duo reminds many of The White Stripes, but perhaps only in energy, gender and eccentricity. Their charming-mysteriou sstyle is uniquely their own, musically and visually. With nothing but a four-piece drum kit and an electric guitar, Carley and Jonnycreate huge sound. Their new LP “Man, Woman, Beast” will be released on Nashville’s Plowboy Records in May 2014 and distributed worldwide.
