„der Austro-Pop-Hype der Stunde!“ – Musikexpress

Voodoo Jürgens ist pure Sozialgeschichte.“ – The Gap

‘profoundly brilliant songwriting – Barry Gruff

‘The first cut from it is Carmelita and it’s as intriguing and melodic as we could’ve hoped for. The pitch black lyrics are perfectly complimented by Fanning’s truly distinctive, Dublin-accented, baritone vocal – think Matt Berninger meets a more refined Luke Kelly.’ – Joe.ie

‘Think a tone in the Venn diagram between Nick Cave, Neil Hannon, Hozier and Johnny Cash, all treacly and smelling of roll up cigarettes and red wine. Singing of being strung out on Heroine and sitting at the back of the bus while the organ rages in the background gives this a confessional feel if Quentin Tarantino is reading this then you really ought to sign this guy up to do the music for the closing credits of your next film. Dark, delicious, steeped in pathos and with the swagger of a cowboy who has killed more people than he can remember so doesn’t even bother trying any more.’ – Listen With Monger
